Update! Dec'06 Ok. We are the slackest band in the whole wide world. No contest. We finally get around to updating our website and what do we do? Fill it with news that is now months old, that’s what. Anyhow. Trick yourself. Pretend, like us that this is hot off the press.

Dead Pan Rangers Greatest Hits! Almost. A Low Hum, that bastion of good New Zealand music kindly released a collection of songs from all three Dead Pan Rangers cds so far. (It is, however, terribly embarrassing, as mentioned above, to be promoting this now, as the issue of A Low Hum came out some time ago.) You can still buy copies of A Low Hum (series 3, issue 2) with this collection of DPR ditties (plus another fabulous cd full of other wonderful bands) from www.smokecds.com.

New Drummer! …DPR are pleased to announce the inclusion of Tim Clulow into the fold. Tim is also a kiwi and will play with the band on their overseas commitments in the future. Bevan-Baz-superBaz Galbraith remains, as always, our NZ drummer, and should be congratulated on his part in the production of a beautiful daughter. Well done son.

Been a while since the last update, during that time the band has played gigs at the Betsy Trotwood, the Bull & Gate, and the Pleasure Unit in London. Also in an effort to plan their european tour they travelled to Germany and Sweden to meet with venues, booking agents etc... if all goes to plan they should be touring in September.

The DPR have relocated in search of fame and fortune and are now based in the UK and their first performance will be at The Betsy Trotwood on April 27. The band will be on at 20:30 with two other bands (Lost Sunday & Phoenix Motorcade) playing afterwards. Only £5 or £4 with flyer.

July sees the Dead Pan Rangers hitching up the wagons once again in an effort to dispel the rumour that they are the laziest band in Hamilton, Go see them...or they'll just stop trying:

Shoppers at Real Groovy records in Auckland will be treated to a live performance by the DPR on 2 July 04 at 6:30pm.

DPR acoustic Live to Air on the Generator in Hamilton May 29th 04 - 8:00pm.

Kaleidoscope World Series 6 will be held at the back bar of Diggers in Hamilton on May 8 - featuring the colossal lineup of The Feds, Prudence, Edward Gains, Daisy Chain Halo, Dead Souls, Goon, Chuganaut and of course the Dead Pan Rangers. Starts at 8:30PM.

NIMBUS are releasing their excellent debut album in April. DPR and Daisy Chain Halo will be supporting them at their release gigs:
